Chef Pierre's Bio

Being the official chef for Our Ohio keeps Pierre Wolfe in touch with his
culinary roots. Born and raised in Europe, Wolfe grew up with a passion for
fine food and wine. In recent years, his focus has moved toward creating a
connection between fine food and healthy living.

Chef Pierre has spent 15 years as the owner of a catering business, and 30
years overall in the food and beverage industry in Ohio. He is excited
about using his expertise from these varied experiences to develop new
recipes for healthy living and a busy lifestyle.

Wolfe's goal is to establish connections between Ohio's producers and
consumers by seeking out the best and freshest from Ohio's abundant array
of fresh food products and creating excitement about using these products
as important ingredients in good eating for a healthy lifestyle.

Although his hobbies of course include cooking and wine tasting, along with
photography, gardening, and travel, his favorite way to spend a Sunday
afternoon is to whip up several dishes in the kitchen with the help of his
two sons, 15-year-old Alex and 12-year-old Jacob. They learned to "slice
and dice" at an early age, and both enjoy and appreciate a wide range of
cuisines. Cooking is a marvelous family activity; food preparation can be
simple, creative, quick and fun!

Through his affiliation with the Ohio Heart Association, Wolfe has become
even more aware of the importance of fresh food, healthfully prepared, and
its contribution to the goodness of life.
